I can imagine some pedo practicing his lines with this crap and then coming after my kids. It's just sickening.
Don't be asking my kids if they want a little candy, SICKO!
Of one simple question... How many camera gimmicks have we seen in the past, including MS's own ideas before, that actually worked and had lasting appeal to the casuals?
None.
It just does not make for an ease of conscience when thinking about this new gimmick.
Will still get to boost the graphics up higher than seen on the consoles but for those of us that did not spend thousands of dollars on a rig that is far too over-clocked... We will play it on the console.
If it is not streaming at a bit rate of 24Mbps or higher. When they pump this 6 and 8Mbps crap through our internet connections, it's just a sham and there is no excuse for anybody calling it true HD. I didn't spend good money on my HD setup to watch inferior "HD" movies. I want the real deal and at the moment, the connections around the vast majority of the world cannot handle such bit rates.
And for the record, BD has a maximum rate of 40Mbps. So tell me what movies...
But as soon as we saw the folks showing the thing off breaking a sweat on stage, I figured you could count me out. I don't play games to sweat, I play them to relax. I foresee this thing making a small impact and being forgotten about in 6 months after release.
They are showing some great titles like Alan Wake and Crackdown 2 along with Forza 3 but Halo, is not my cup of tea, MGSR was a rendered trailer (though I don't doubt it will be good), and the whole Milo and camera gimmick stuff was just that, a gimmick. In the end, I waited nearly two hours to hear about three games that sound remotely interesting to me.
It deserves a B.
What's it good for? So the MS boys and girls mocked the Sony fans for Home, where the Sony fans get to talk to real human beings behind a digital avatar and now MS fans are getting excited about talking to an AI behind a digital avatar? What is this world coming too?
Sorry, but if you like this sort of thing then so be it but talking to a computer AI via another expensive MS peripheral is not for me.
Alan Wake and Forza 2, there was nothing showing us what MGSR will be like and many others were either multi-plat or Halo related. I'm not a Halo fan so that stuff makes no difference to me. As for the motion tech... Come on, I'm a hardcore gamer and have little time for casual titles that use such gimmicks. Sure, if you like that sort of thing then so be it but I am looking at their conference from my perspective and much of the conference was left to the casual.
That was going to blow us away? Or was it the Alan Wake footage?
Better late than never...
*cough* Alan Wake *cough*
At least you don't hear of many PS3 games that we have had to wait for turning out to be junk...
*cough* Too Human *cough
The wait in many cases is just proof as to what matters most for PS3 developers. Especially when the greatest percentage of games with an 85% average rating or higher on Metacritic are of the PS3 family...
Good things come to those who wait, just a...
Looking forward to Halo 4, aren't you? lol
Hypocrite.
Sorry, I should have been more clear. At the moment, I smell beta for MS as already being exclusive as it were in the past. But what I was getting at, was if they scored the game itself as exclusive, then yes, that would be the bomb shell for this E3.
It would almost seem logical.
If I recall correctly, the original article that the BBC wrote said specifically that it was not Heavy Rain but something else.
But have to admit, that if they scored exclusivity on this one, it would be in fact, da-bomb of this years E3. For the first few months of Modern Warfare, I played both the PS3 and 360 versions. I could not get enough of that game online.
à la mode it is Monty, and thanks for asking. Better to understand a word at its literal meaning than to cast a gray cloud over vocabulary.
Sorry, but I like to think that the entire library makes a console great. As for what GT5 will do for the PS3... It will once again make any other racing game look like childs play and on the day of release, it will be the best racing game on the market... Until the next GT is released.
Would think that Sony would see their billion dollar franchise turn into vaporware?
When GT5P sells nearly 4 million copies, you can bet that GT5 will sell nearly 10 million units. As for the games overall score, there's no contest. It will be the best console racing game the ay it hits the market.
I still thought it was a pretty good execution to a new IP. It's tough for new IP's these days and AC was no exception. I will say though, it will have to live up to the greatness that is inFAMOUS since it has set the bar for open world action titles these days. Action driven games like this need to keep getting better. When they do, they are just plain awesome.
